SAFE RIDING TIPS

DO's

  • Always wear a Standard helmet and lighten chin band while driving.
  • Never use mobile phones while driving.
  • Always keep rear view mirrors clean.
  • Use both, front and rear brakes simultaneously. Applying only one brake may cause loss of control & skidding or diving.
  • Avoid sudden and harsh braking.

  • Do not apply front brake when cornering or at turn.
  • Fill petrol at reputed petrol pumps.

FUEL SAVING TIPS

DO's

  • Drive in economy zone; at a constant speed @ 40-50 kmph in top gear.
  • Check & refill tyre pressure once in a week.

DON'T

  • Do not keep the clutch lever pressed while riding.
  • Do not run the engine in low gear for long.
  • Do not keep the brake pedal pressed while riding.
  • Do not rev the bike during traffic halts. Switch off the engine if the halt is longer than 30 seconds.
  • Do not cover the engine on the front and sides. This may restrict the smooth air flow to the engine fins required for air cooling.

SAFE RIDING TIPS

Brake

  • When down shifting to the lower gear, change the gear at appropriate engine speed.
  • When parking the vehicle apply the parking brake and shift the gear into reverse or first gear.

Ignition key

  • Always remove the ignition key, when leaving the vehicle even for a short time.

Clutch lever

  • Do not drive with the clutch lever in pressed condition. It could result in excessive clutch wear, clutch damage, or expected loss of engine braking.

FUEL SAVING TIPS

  • Ride smoothly & steadily at an optimum driving speed of 30-40 kmph.
  • Avoid sudden acceleration & frequent or sudden braking.
  • Avoid driving with foot on brake pedal.
  • Avoid driving with partial disengaging of clutch (half clutch).
  • Avoid overloading and driving at high speeds.
  • Avoid over or under inflating the tyres.
  • Do not keep the engine running at traffic signals during longer red lights.
